Which is more private, Flo or Clue?

Mozilla’s July 2026 review, as reported by DH Insights, scored Clue 8 and Flo 7 out of 10. It said Clue is upfront about how it uses data users agree to share, and that Flo does not share health data with advertisers, analytics or marketing partners and offers Anonymous Mode. Flo settled FTC allegations over data sharing in 2021, and in August 2025 a California jury found Meta liable for collecting data from Flo’s app; Flo had settled before the verdict. Which should I choose?

  • Choose Clue if you value named clinician authors, research partnerships and EU jurisdiction.
  • Choose Splash if you want sharing, a doctor report and every mode free, with no account. It can import a Flo or Clue export on your phone, so you can try it beside either.
