Is there a period tracker that works without an account?
Yes. Splash, Euki and drip work with no account, and Flo offers an Anonymous Mode that needs no email. Without an account your data is saved on your phone, so back it up: Splash lets you save a backup file, or turn on end-to-end encrypted sync later. Clue needs an account to share your cycle.

Why would I want a tracker with no account?
Nothing links your cycle to your name or email, there is no server copy to leak or to be asked for, and you can start in seconds. For health data this sensitive, collecting less is the strongest protection. If you are unsure about an app, the privacy checklist helps.
What do I give up without an account?
Three things, and each has a workaround.
- Automatic backup. If you lose the phone, you lose the history, unless you save a backup file from Settings or turn on encrypted sync.
- Partner sharing and clinician links. Splash needs an account to share, because the locked snapshot is stored on our server. Your partner needs none.
- Push reminders. These need an account so the server can send them, with neutral wording by default.
How do I back up a tracker that has no account?
- Open Settings. In Splash, open Settings and find your data options.
- Save a backup file. Choose Export backup. The file restores everything, photos included.
- Keep it somewhere you control. Save it to a place only you can open, such as an encrypted folder or your own device storage.
- Repeat now and then. Browsers can clear website data, so save a new backup after a few cycles, or turn on encrypted sync instead.
Questions people ask
Can I add an account later?
Yes. In Splash, open Settings, then Account & sync, when you want encrypted backup, sync across devices or partner sharing. Your phone encrypts your history before it uploads, and you get a recovery code shown once. You can delete the account at any time, which removes everything we hold.
Is Splash safe without an account?
Without an account, nothing about your cycle reaches us; it stays in your phone’s storage. That is as safe as your phone, so use the PIN, Face ID or fingerprint lock. Encryption does not stop someone holding your unlocked phone, which is why there is also a decoy PIN and a panic wipe.
What happens if I lose my phone with no account?
Without a backup, the data goes with the phone, because we hold no copy. If you saved a backup file or turned on encrypted sync, install Splash on the new phone and restore it. Choose one of those options soon after you start, not after something goes wrong.
Does Flo’s Anonymous Mode count as no account?
Flo says Anonymous Mode needs no email and uses Oblivious HTTP so Flo cannot link your identity to your health data. It is free for everyone. Your logs still sit on Flo’s servers, which is different from Splash, Euki and drip, where they stay on your device.
