The best Clue alternatives

Clue is a well-respected tracker. People look elsewhere mostly because sharing and the Conceive and Perimenopause modes need Clue Plus, or because they want to use an app without an account.

In short: Good Clue alternatives in 2026 are Splash (free, no account, free partner sharing), Euki and drip (open source, local-only), Apple Health Cycle Tracking (iPhone) and Flo (large library). Clue keeps sharing, Conceive and Perimenopause modes in Clue Plus; Splash makes them free. Splash can import a Clue export on your phone. Reviewed 28 October 2026.

Five alternatives, and who each suits

  1. Splashour app

Best for: Free, no account, encrypted partner sharing

Local-first with optional end-to-end encrypted sync; doctor report, symptom guide, library and every mode free.

Worth knowing: Installs from your browser in seconds, and imports your Flo or Clue history. Not yet independently reviewed by Mozilla.

  2. Euki

Best for: Maximum privacy, open source

Free, non-profit, open source, local-only, with a PIN, decoy screen and auto-delete. Mozilla’s top scorer in July 2026 (10 out of 10).

Worth knowing: No sync between devices, so data is lost with the phone; no partner sharing.

  3. Apple Health Cycle Tracking

Best for: iPhone and Apple Watch users

Built in and free; end-to-end encrypted in iCloud with two-factor authentication; wrist-temperature ovulation estimates and a 12-month PDF for your doctor.

    Worth knowing: Apple devices only.

  4. Flo

Best for: Big library and community

Very large library (Flo says 100+ health experts), free Anonymous Mode using Oblivious HTTP, basic partner sharing free. Scored 7 out of 10 in Mozilla’s July 2026 review.

Worth knowing: Doctor report (iOS), Symptom Checker (not in the UK) and expert courses need Premium.

  5. drip

Best for: Sympto-thermal charting, open source

Open source, and everything you enter stays on your device; built around temperature, mucus and cervix charting.

Worth knowing: Plain design; no sharing or sync.

Questions about Clue alternatives

What is the best free alternative to Clue Plus?

Splash includes partner sharing and the Conceive, Pregnancy and Perimenopause modes free, with no paid tier and no account. Euki and drip are free and local-only if you want the most private option. Clue’s own free version remains available, with Clue Plus adding sharing and extra modes.

Is Clue better than Splash?

Neither is better for everyone. Clue has named clinician authors, a long research record and EU jurisdiction. Splash has no clinician reviewer yet, but includes sharing and every mode free and works without an account. Try both: Splash can import your Clue export, so you can keep your history.

How do I export my data from Clue?

In Clue, tap More, then Settings, then Download my data. Clue shows a password and emails a download link that works for 72 hours. Save the zip, unzip it with the password, and choose measurements.json in Splash. The file is read on your device and not uploaded.
